RYT 200
Bob Bauer attended his first yoga class in early 2000 as a way to offset the physical stressors of a daily long distance running routine. Realizing after his third class “hmmm, I feel….different…” he knew yoga is what he personally needed to balance his life. Both physically and mentally, the practice of creating space opened up a livelihood of restorative possibilities. In late 2003, he attended his first Kundalini class with Sierra Hollister. Through her guidance and inspiration, he learned the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. As his desire to learn continued to grow, in August 2008 he completed the 27 day Kundalini Immersion course in New Mexico. Bob reflects upon returning to the land of his personal daily obligations; “the gift of sharing the ancient teachings of Kundalini Yoga has allowed me to receive the opportunity to do the same.”

Jacqi's first yoga experience was in the basement of a church about ten years ago. "I walked in thinking it would be a nice, relaxing stretch and walked out drenched in sweat with every muscle aching." And so began her journey as a yoga addict. Jacqi started teaching in 2003 and has taught various styles of yoga such as Ashtanga, Power, Vinyasa flow, Bikram, Hot yoga and prenatal. She is currently working on finishing up her RYT 200 through YogaFit. She has certifications in both pilates and prenatal yoga. Jacqi has trained with David Swenson, Bryan Kest, Todd Norian and Betsy Downing.
Jacqi's main goal in teaching yoga is to help others discover the multiple benefits of this practice, not only physically but mentally and to help others discover their best self.
Mary’s Yoga practice began in 1998 while she was attending UNC-Charlotte. Like most Americans she was intrigued by this new form of “exercise” that stretched the muscles. In 2007, Mary’s yoga practice began to deepen. She began to think of yoga as more than just stretching exercises. After a yoga practice, she felt a slight shift in her mood…more mellow and relaxed and her mind was a little more clear and calm.
But in 2008, Mary experienced some changes in her life that left her grasping for balance, she needed something to hold on to and like an old friend yoga was there. Through yoga Mary gained the confidence she needed to make the necessary changes in her life and follow her dreams. She decided to deepen her study and practice of yoga and headed straight to the source…India!
In early 2009, Mary packed her bags and left the comfort of the West to study yoga where it originated. She enrolled in the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwanthari Ahsram. Through meditation, pranayama, asanas, a vegetarian diet, and relaxation Mary’s life transformed. She began cultivating gratitude and appreciation for every soul in the universe, especially her own. And with her training in India, Mary grew to understand the TRUE purpose of yoga. After her challenging training program that required self-discipline and perseverance, Mary earned her certificate to teach Hatha Yoga and the title “Yogi Siromani.”
One day Mary plans to travel back to India to meet her guru, but for now she is excited to share with others what she has learned and to help people slow down in this fast paced society. Mary looks forward to teaching the importance of proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet, meditation and positive thinking and help people find their own inner voice and purpose in life. Namaste.
